Knightstone acquired approximately 77-acres of raw land in 2006 as well as an older retail plaza. The vision was to develop a 550,000-sf central retail hub on Division Street directly off the 401 Hwy. The development consists of Kingslake Plaza, King’s Crossing Fashion Outlet Centre and King’s Crossing Power Centre – Phase I and Phase II.
King’s Crossing is a new mixed-use retail development strategically located along the highway corridor between Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto – a nexus of tourism, traffic and population. Highway 401 at the Division Street exit is the busiest off-ramp outside the GTA. With high visibility, King’s Crossing is the “halfway rest stop” for over 100,000 vehicles that drive through the area every day between the GTA and Montreal / Ottawa.
In addition to King’s Crossing, Knightstone also owns Kingslake Plaza. This site is located in close proximity to the King’s Crossing Fashion Outlet Centre and the King’s Crossing Power Centre. Combined, the three sites have created a significant retail node and jump-started commercial development in the area.
